FINAL PRODUCT
The Cobra Survival Paracord Bracelet can be made with either 1 solid piece of paracord or 2 separate but equal length pieces or paracord (used for 2 different colored bracelets).
MATERIALS
1. Scissors
2. Lighter or other means to melt the paracord
3. Buckle (3/8" Side release Buckles work best)
4. 1' of Paracord per 1" of bracelet (i.e. 8" bracelet would need either an 8' 1 piece or 2 4' pieces (for 2 color bracelets)
STEP ONE
1 Color Bracelets:
Find the exact center of the paracord and make a loop, thread this loop through one end of the buckle and then thread the rest of the paracord through the loop and pull tight.
2 Color Bracelets:
Thread 1 end of both colors through one end of the buckle. You can either melt the ends together (after threading through for easiness) or as an alternative (and typically better looking) you can weave these ends underneath the knots as you get towards this end of the bracelet. This end will become the last part of the knotting process, so as you get near this end simply lay the paracord down over itself and finish knotting over it concealing these ends under the knots.
STEP TWO
Thread both the other ends of the paracord into the other end of the buckle (Disconnect the buckle ends first) Then measure the bracelet from the end of the buckle to the end of the other buckle (Do not measure the male portion of the buckle since it gets pushed into the female end) the measurement should equal the length you want your bracelet to be plus roughly 1 inch (i.e. an 8" bracelet should be measured out to 9")
You will then begin to make the first knot. Loop one end under the core paracords and the other end will loop under the first loop and over the core paracords and then under the first loop (See picture for easier description)
You will then continue to put the same end you put under the core the first time under again and the other end over the core again. Continue this process until you reach the other end of the bracelet pulling each knot as tight as possible.
STEP 3
Once you have reached the other end making sure the last knot is pulled extra tight, cut the extra paracord off.
Now get your lighter, match, soldering iron, or other method for melting and begin to melt the ends of the paracord into/onto the bracelet.
If you made a two color bracelet then you may need or want to melt any threads showing from paracord you overlapped (what was threaded through the buckle)
